I'm sometimes asked about laws of foreign countries, but I cannot give a legal advice as I am a Korean lawyer.
In the same vein, I was surprised that some foreign legal counsels would give advice about Korean law, which is inappropriate. That might be an infraction of the Attorney-at-Law-Act and the Article 24 of Foreign Council Consultant Act.
Anglo-American law has different system from Korean one. In addition, as for Korean law, it is very important to understand Civil Act, on which most of Korean laws and regulations are based, but it is not easy to grasp.
In a word, please ask Korean law of a Korean lawyer and foreign legal issues of foreign legal consultant!
